OCuSOFT Lid Scrub Plus

I've been using OCuSOFT Lid Scrub Plus Eyelid Cleanser since November and about a little under a month now there has been a rash over my right eye. Today as I was cleaning my eyes with the lid scrub, I notice there is a rash formulating under my left eye. The only other things that I am currently taking are the TheraTears Omega 3 capsules, TheraTears eye drops, and applying warm compresses twice daily so I have a feeling that the eyelid cleanser might be causing the rash. I must look more into this.

Thus far, the lid scrubs seemed to be a great product (I would scrub my lids once in the morning and once at night and occasionally once midday) but I think starting tomorrow, I will stop using the lid scrubber for awhile and see if the rash disappears.

Hi there. Just wanted to suggest that I think 'scrubbing' your eyes is a bad idea. Scrubbing your eyes will make them look much older as you get older.

Also, eye specialists I've been too have told me that 'heat' often contributes to the condition, so I'm not sure about 'warm compresses' either! :)

Hello,

I'm not sure if I updated this post but I have stopped using lid scrubs quite some time ago. When I would do so, it seemed as though my eyes would attract dust. I don't have blepharitis so my eyes are better off without scrubbing.

In regards to the warm compresses however, optometrists and forums I visit both state dry eye sufferers can relieve pain by using them. I would say warm compresses are equivalent to taking a warm shower with water splashing on your eyes. In any case I have also stopped doing this since my eyes have gotten a lot better.
